Payment & cancellation policy
Adventurer's Instincts — guided tours
Payment plan options, deadlines, and cancellation windows are confirmed when you book. This page summarizes how bookings and refunds work.
1. Booking & payment
- Full payment up front is optional. You may pay the full amount or choose a partial payment to secure your booking.
- A typical partial option is a down payment (for example, around 25% of the total) with the balance due on the day of the tour.
- Your booking is confirmed once we receive the payment agreed for your plan (partial or full).
- Accepted payment methods and how to pay are shared when you book.
2. Cancellation by participant
- Cancellations with sufficient advance notice may be eligible for a refund minus the non-refundable deposit or an administrative fee, per the timeline confirmed when you book.
- Cancellations closer to the tour date may receive a reduced refund; exact percentages depend on how far in advance you cancel and are confirmed at booking.
- Cancellations very close to the tour date or no-shows are not eligible for a refund.
All cancellations must be made in writing (e.g. WhatsApp or email).
3. Rescheduling policy
- Rescheduling requests must be made within the advance window confirmed when you book.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability.
- Only one (1) reschedule is permitted per booking.
4. Cancellation by Adventurer's Instincts
Adventurer's Instincts reserves the right to cancel or modify a tour due to:
- Unsafe weather conditions
- Safety concerns
- Insufficient bookings
- Equipment failure or unforeseen circumstances
In such cases, participants will be offered: a full refund, or the option to reschedule to another date.
5. Weather policy
- Tours operate in light rain and normal outdoor conditions.
- Tours will only be canceled in cases of unsafe weather (e.g. storms, strong winds, rough seas).
- Weather-related decisions are made solely by Adventurer's Instincts in the interest of safety.
6. Late arrival & no-show policy
- Tours depart on time.
- Late arrivals may miss the tour and will be considered no-shows with no refund.
7. Minimum participant requirement
- Each kayak adventure accommodates up to 6 adults and 3 children.
- Children ages 6–10 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Maximum weight per kayak: 400 lb.
- Some tours may require a minimum number of participants.
8. Refund processing
- Approved refunds are processed within a reasonable timeframe; your confirmation will note expected timing.
- Transaction fees (if applicable) may be deducted from refunds.
9. Agreement to policy
By booking a tour with Adventurer's Instincts, I acknowledge and agree to this payment and cancellation policy.
